There are renju clubs in several countries (among others Sweden, Japan, Russia, Czech Republic, USA, China, Estonia, Chinese Taipei, Armenia). The best way for learning is playing at a actual board and with actual people. Studying the game and analysing can be sometimes fun to do alone, but for someone who has played very little (actually it is true on others, too) it is very hard to see all the variants. That’s why the very best way of practising is analysing with a group of people. So join us (see the adress on the front page) !
One of the alternatives to the club training is playing via Internet at different sites http://www.gambler.ru/, http://www.kurnik.pl/ and playing with a special gomoku program (simply five-in-a-row without openings and restrictions for black) and renju program is also possible. Nowadays it is even possible to train renju live via Internet. A very appreciated site is Renjuclass which you can access at http://www.renjuclass.com/. If you don't want to be a member of the class and participate in weekly lectures, you have a possibility to join the ORC Game Server.
A great help for the studies are several materials on the game, for example:
